Meeting House Boarding Kennels and Cattery is situated in the grounds of a 17th century thatched cottage with over 2 acres of green paddocks overlooking open countryside. It is located 8 miles south of Royston in Hertfordshire, just outside the village of Cottered, and can be easily accessed from both the M11 and A1. Cambridge and Stansted are both only half an hour's drive away.
Meeting House is open for boarding dogs and cats all year round ( though please see below for office hours when you can drop off and pick up your pets), and has a policy of employing permanent staff who are familiar with our regular customers and their pets. A veterinary surgeon is on call 24 hours a day.
We insist that all dogs and cats have an up-to-date vaccination certificate and will ask for this to be produced when you bring in your pet. It is at the owner's discretion whether or not your pet has the kennel cough vaccine. However if you should decide to have the vaccine administered it must be done at least 10 days prior to your pet coming into the kennels.
Regular customers will be aware that we have not put up our prices this year despite increases in all our running costs. It is our wish to continue to keep our prices at a reasonable level.
Energy costs are clearly a huge factor in running a boarding kennel/cattery, and we are pleased to say that we have now installed 40 solar panels in an effort to boost our green credentials and simultaneously reduce our energy bills. Click here for photos.
